FROM INDUSTRIAL ESTATE TO CREATIVE BREEDING GROUND Since 2014, Haveneiland has been Breda's sanctuary. Several creative companies and initiatives work here on developments in the field of entrepreneurship, sustainability, leisure, sport and culture. The former industrial site does not look equally accessible to everyone, so we were asked by the users of the site to design (or have designed) an eye-catching signage. However, we soon discovered that the terrain needed its own identity, which would ensure that the separate initiatives radiated more unity, the terrain felt more accessible, and the atmosphere during events would be just that little bit better. SHAPES FROM THE ENVIRONMENT Artists Bruce TMC and P.winkel were inspired by the different shapes they found on the site and developed a visual identity that can be applied to the many objects and forms on the site. The design provides a more open look, better visibility and better interpretation of the site.
